BetMakers strengthens presence in Malaysia with Perak Turf Club go-live
Melbourne, Australia, April 15: Following on from a record breaking quarter of new customer wins, BetMakers Technology Group Ltd (ASX:BET) has continued its international expansion with the successful deployment of its wagering infrastructure at Perak Turf Club in Malaysia.
The go-live event marks another significant step in BetMakers’ rollout across the Asian Racing Federation, building on the company’s strategy to deliver modular, scalable solutions for racing operators globally.
The agreement, originally announced in February is already in full operations mode speaking to the strength and speed of the BetMakers technical roll-out.
Perak Turf Club is now operating on Quantum Tote, BetMakers’ core tote engine, and utilising a full suite of accompanying technologies including:
- Digital tote wagering application
- 70 teller terminals powered by NGT
- 15 scanner-less self-service terminals
- Insights platform for reporting and analytics
Despite a modest race card, the Perak club recorded over RM1 million in localised turnover on its first race day using the new platform – a strong indicator of early adoption and product performance.
“This was more than a successful launch — it was a clear validation of our technology and the readiness of the local market,” said Lance Ku, who led operations for the rollout.
“We’re proud to support Perak Turf Club as they enter their next phase of modernisation.”
Established in 1884, the club is currently undergoing a full rebrand and precinct upgrade, with new facilities planned including tennis courts, dining venues, a local market and sports bar. These investments are aimed at enhancing the patron experience and ensuring long-term sustainability for the venue and racing operations.
This milestone for Perak follows BetMakers’ earlier deployment at Selangor Turf Club in Malaysia and is part of BetMakers’ broader commitment to providing high-integrity, high-efficiency infrastructure to the global racing industry.
BetMakers CEO Jake Henson said:
“BetMakers is repeatedly being recognised as critical infrastructure for world racing. We’re not just building racing software and hardware in isolation, we’re building racing’s backbone with a philosophy of one partnership to open up a global racing network.
“In the case of Malaysian racing, we are proud to have demonstrated the impact that our technology can deliver, and have been delighted with the feedback about success in growing racing and returns to its stakeholders in that country.”
